JOB DESCRIPTION
At the Front Desk, you will support guests to ensure a comfortable stay, drawing on knowledge of the hotel and Hakuba and responding flexibly to a variety of needs. It’s a position that keeps the hotel running smoothly and connects you with guests from around the globe.
As a Front Desk Lead, you will also be involved in reservation management and play a central role in supporting the overall operations of the hotel.
- Opening and closing tasks
- Reception duties: Handling check-in and check-out procedures
- Guest support: Responding to inquiries and requests in person or by phone, resolving issues, and maintaining guest relations
- Reservation management: Handling and modifying accommodation reservations, responding to online and phone inquiries, and managing guest information
- Sales management: Checking daily sales, preparing daily sales reports, and closing the cash register
- Transportation support and management: Driving (for those with a license), arranging drivers, and managing shuttle schedules
- System operations: Using reservation and payment systems (PMS, POS)
- Facilities & equipment management: Maintaining the amenity station and information boards, checking the condition of guest rooms and facilities, and managing inventory
- Team coordination: Working closely with other departments such as housekeeping, the restaurant, and the kitchen
- Restaurant service support: Assisting with restaurant reception duties when needed
- Multilingual communication: Communicating with guests in Japanese and English
- Service improvement: Contributing ideas and initiatives to enhance the guest experience and sharing them with the team
- Other related duties as required
