JOB DESCRIPTION
At our in-house restaurant & bar, THE FIVE, we offer buffet-style dining inspired by the nature and culture of Hakuba, featuring local ingredients and regional flavors. As a Kitchen Associate, you will be responsible for daily routine tasks that support the smooth operation of our kitchen.
- Prep Work (Ingredients)
- Opening Setup: Food counter preparation
- Cooking: Including open-kitchen cooking such as teppanyaki and wood-fired pizza
- Cleanup & Closing Tasks: Cleaning the open kitchen and food counter, washing kitchen equipment and utensils, floor cleaning, and taking out the trash
- Inventory Management: Replenishing and organizing stock, stock rotation (expiry date management), and coordinating with the team for ordering
- Other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid visa (e.g., Working Holiday)
- Basic kitchen experience preferred
- Comfortable communicating in English; open to learning and using basic Japanese
- Reliable and detail-oriented
