JOB DESCRIPTION
At our in-house restaurant & bar, THE FIVE, you will welcome guests from around the world and create a warm, enjoyable dining experience. As a core member of the restaurant service team, you will play a key role in daily operations while contributing to service quality improvements and team development.
- Opening Preparation: Set up tables, the bar, and food counters; replenish supplies
- Reservation Management: Manage restaurant reservations (via system or directly) and welcome guests upon arrival
- Guest Service: Take orders, prepare drinks, serve food and beverages, and provide table service
- Cashiering: Handle payments and operate the POS system (including menu updates)
- Inventory Management: Replenish and organize stock, carry out stock rotation (expiry date management), and place orders as needed
- Closing Tasks: Clean tables, counters, equipment, prepare the breakfast setup, and close the cash register
- Service Improvement: Contribute ideas to enhance the guest experience and share and implement service improvements with the team.
- Other Duties: Perform other related tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid visa to work in Japan (e.g., Working Holiday visa)
- Experience in restaurant service preferred (years of experience not required)
- Comfortable communicating in English; open to learning and using basic Japanese
